Life Lesson: There is no manual

So... this thing called life can be pretty hard. Nobody tells you that in the beginning. No, they wouldn't want to discourage us now would they? It's all peaches and cream, "You can be anything you want to be," and "Nothing in life's that hard," bullshit. There should be a manual for certain things. I know, I'm a little late in the game to be saying such things, but gosh darnit, I'm 23, I want a fucking manual!

Frequently asked questions:
How am I to pay my $450 in school loans every month? (Which by the way takes nothing off the principal, they're just interest payments!)
How does economy factor into school loan consolidation?
How am I to find a freakin' job, without relocating?
How am I to make the decision to go back to school or not?
How am I to resist temptation when I am not in the correct state of mind to begin with? (Ooo, I like that one.)

Maybe I need to look a bit harder for my manual...

At some used car lots, they put little Bibles in the glove compartments that say, "Owner's Manual for Life." Whenever I see those and have to laugh because, well, I usually just end up with more questions when I look at either a Bible or a vehicle user manual.

Maybe the fact that there's no actual manual for life is really, actually, a good thing, or we'd all just question everything we do all the time and try to live by the book and never have adventures, or even really ever succeed any anything more than bland existence.

*ahem* Sorry about that. I think I spilled philosophy all over everywhere. I hope you have paper towels.

Thursday's Child - I enjoyed your philosophy. In fact... I'm going to store it all in a Ziploc bag for whenever next time I find myself rummaging through my room (or my car at that fact) for my non-existent Life Manual.

I believe you're missing out on the bigger picture here "REN". What you exist for is to Live through experience and grow naturally with each passing day. One of the greatest things in the world is to share experiences especially unique ones with another who you care for, those memories with another help facilitate growth in spiritual and psychological ways. you know what they say correct? Do as i do, Learn As I learn By doing. you just got to take those little chances life throws you like bait off the hook...you never know where they'll go.

remember that.
